Hundreds of members of Teamsters 117 and their families flooded the State Capitol in Olympia yesterday for our 2020 Lobby Day. 

This May, we will begin negotiations over the 2021-2023 collective bargaining agreement for all Teamsters employed at the Washington State Department of Corrections.

In preparation for contract negotiations with the Department of Corrections, we will be holding Contract Demands Meetings at facilities across the state.

Our Union has filed a grievance with the State to protest inadequate and unsafe staffing levels for all Teamsters at the Department of Corrections.

The results of the recent vote are in regarding Article 36 – Uniforms, Tool, and Equipment for DOC custody staff who are members of Teamsters 117.
