We are deeply saddened by the news of the passing of Teamster Correctional Officer David Christensen at the age of 62 due to COVID-19 complications. On behalf of our membership, we celebrate his life and express our sympathies and condolences to his family and co-workers.

Officer Christensen worked at the Clallam Bay and Stafford Creek Corrections Centers and had a long career in corrections and criminal justice including at the Oregon Department of Corrections, Grays Harbor County Jail, Aberdeen Police Department, and Grays Harbor County Juvenile Department.

Serving and protecting the community was Officer Christensen's lifelong mission. Every day he went to work, he put his life on the line to protect the safety of others. Even as the pandemic raged on, he continued his unwavering dedication and paid the ultimate price. We honor our fallen Brother and keep him in our memory.
