The Jayme Biendl Working Womxn's scholarship was established in memory of Officer Jayme Biendl of the Monroe Correctional Complex who was killed in the line of duty in 2011. The scholarship fund is intended to support working Teamster womxn and their dependents in their pursuit of higher education or continuing education that advances their career goals.

In 2025, the Teamsters Local 117 Womxn’s Committee will award three scholarships to qualified womxn members and dependents. The term “womxn” is used to be inclusive of all people who identify as women. The scholarship must be used for continuing education or a training/vocational program. 

Elegibilidad para la beca

El solicitante debe ser:

  • A current, working Teamster womxn in good standing with the Union OR
  • A dependent – either child or spouse – of a working Teamster womxn in good standing OR
  • A womxn dependent – either child or spouse – of any active member in good standing

Se debe presentar una prueba de la inscripción actual. La documentación aceptable puede incluir lo siguiente:

Opción A:

  • Copia de la transcripción oficial

Opción B:

  • Copia del carné de estudiante Y
  • Copia del programa de clases actual

Opción C:

  • Prueba de aceptación en la escuela o programa Y
  • Nombre del beneficiario institucional
