As Teamsters, we should all have serious concerns about how big employers are using artificial intelligence (AI). Many are already moving forward with technology to put driverless robotaxis on our roads, engage in surveillance of workers, and make decisions about who and who not to hire. 

Our Union has been pushing back on these uses of AI, but our efforts are threatened by a bill currently before Congress. Big Tech lobbyists are trying to sneak language into the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) that would prohibit states from passing laws to regulate AI.

This would kill our Union's ongoing work in the WA state legislature to protect our members.
