Teamsters at Lineage Logistics facility in Seattle have been working without a contract since April 1, 2025.
The Teamsters are calling on star PGA Tour golfer Justin Thomas to support workers in their effort to achieve a fair contract at Lineage Logistics.
Thomas, the fifth-ranked golfer in the world, is sponsored by Lineage and frequently wears the company's branding in his public appearances.
During contract negotiations over a successor labor agreement, Teamsters Local 117 has accused Lineage of bad-faith bargaining and has filed a number of Unfair Labor Practice charges against the company with the National Labor Relations Board.
The Local Union alleges Lineage unlawfully negotiated directly with employees at its Seattle cold storage warehouse and in doing so misrepresented eligibility for healthcare benefits to workers. Lineage employees at the facility have been working under an expired contract since April 1, 2025.
The company has also sent threatening letters to workers' homes regarding negotiations—a practice that workers report has created anxiety for their families. Most significantly, Lineage refuses to offer the same compensation provided to workers at another Lineage facility located less than 30 miles away, demonstrating clear pay inequity for Seattle workers.
Local 117 sent Thomas a letter this week requesting that he reach out to the company immediately and urge them to bargain fairly.
"As a celebrity figure who profits from a Lineage sponsorship, Justin Thomas has a responsibility to let the company know that their workers deserve to be treated fairly," said Maria Williams, President of Teamsters Local 117. "We are asking Thomas to contact the company immediately and urge them to resolve any pending violations of federal law and negotiate an equitable agreement that respects the contributions our members make to the company."
