Teamsters 117 to bring a large, powerful delegation to our International Union Convention this June.

It's an election year at the International Brotherhood of Teamsters (IBT) with all positions on the IBT's General Executive Board on the ballot. This is an opportunity for our membership to shape the future leadership and direction of our Union.

Before the election, the IBT will hold its 2026 Convention in Las Vegas. Delegates will nominate candidates for officer positions and vote on key issues affecting the operation and governance of our Union.

Paul Dascher, Local 117's Secretary-Treasurer, will lead a powerful group of 37 Teamsters to the convention—21 delegates and 16 alternates who were nominated last Friday at our Union hall in Tukwila.

Our team represents the full diversity of Local 117, with members from a variety of industries and geographical locations across Washington State. Shop Stewards and other member leaders will ensure that the voices and concerns of our rank-and-file are represented on the convention floor.

"Our Local 117 team is a force to be reckoned with," Secretary-Treasurer Dascher said. "We have a diverse group of members representing all sectors of our Union, and we will fight to ensure our priorities are heard and our members' interests are protected."

During the convention, we'll keep you updated with regular reports on the proceedings. Stay tuned!
