MARCH ON THE BOSS!

It's always an inspiration when unorganized workers come together and demand a voice. This happened recently with paratransit workers at Alesig.

This group of dispatchers and call takers works side-by-side Local 117 members, but because they are not members of the union they get considerably less in wages and benefits. Earlier this month, they took the brave step of marching on their boss and demanding Union recognition. They're fighting to join Teamsters 117 for better healthcare, equitable wages, and respect (more about their story).

We hope to welcome them as the newest members of our Union soon!
